Top 5 Social Apps in Brazil Q3 2022

The third quarter of 2022 saw significant activity in the social app landscape in Brazil. Based on data from Sensor Tower, we analyzed the performance of the top 5 social apps on a unified platform, capturing insights into their downloads, active users, and revenue trends.

Instagram maintained a consistent performance throughout Q3 2022. Weekly revenue peaked at around $7.7K in late June, followed by slight fluctuations, ending the quarter at approximately $7K. Weekly downloads varied between 666K and 878K, with a notable peak in mid-July. The app's active user base remained robust, fluctuating slightly but generally holding steady around 71.7M to 71.9M users.

TikTok demonstrated strong revenue performance, starting the quarter at $164K and peaking at $176K in early August. Downloads for the app ranged from 623K to 737K weekly, with a peak in late August. Active users showed a steady increase, starting at 69.7M in late June and reaching approximately 72M by the end of September.

Facebook Lite also showed notable trends. Weekly revenue began at $36K and saw a gradual decline, ending the quarter at around $26K. Downloads were relatively stable, peaking at 669K in late August. Active user numbers showed a slight decline over the quarter, starting at 112.9M and ending at approximately 109.5M.

Auxílio Brasil GovBR experienced a surge in downloads, with a significant peak of 714K in early August. Active users increased from 2.5M in late June to a peak of around 3M in early August, maintaining a steady level around 2.7M to 2.8M towards the end of the quarter.

Helo - Humor and Social Trends saw its weekly downloads fluctuate between 213K and 322K, with a peak in mid-July. Active users showed some variability, starting at 1.9M and peaking at around 2M in mid-July, before stabilizing around 1.8M by the end of September.
